She's Here! Welcome Eleanor Lee!

September 9, 2020 Eleanor made her grand entrance and we are so completely smitten by this little lady! She is perfect and peaceful and truly a bright light of joy to our lives! Perhaps a full write up will occur in the weeks to come, but we are currently in the newborn blur so here's some overview points. I know so many of you have been praying and waiting to celebrate with us so I didn't want to keep you waiting!

Birth Stats:

  • 09/09/2020 (Her due date!)

  • 6lbs 12oz ; 19in

  • 6:43pm

Birth Story: Fast version

  • The way our steps and details were ordered by the Lord, down to the seconds, was such a testimony of living a Spirit-Filled life. There were some pretty scary moments, but His presence and wisdom was with us the entire time. We are in awe of His goodness of protection. Truly angels ushered Eleanor into this world!

  • Due to consistent heart-rate drops, I did end up with a repeat c-section. Whereas I was SO hoping for a VBAC, the goodness of God to grant us Eleanor safely truly surpasses any disappointment.

  • The spirit of JOY hit the second she was born and I was filled with laughter and joyful tears right there in the operating room. It was so holy. He was so present! That's my biggest takeaway... I felt the presence of God so tangibly this entire delivery. I'm in awe that He would let me partner with Him in bringing a soul to the Earth.

  • I was able to have skin to skin in the operating room (which I didn't get with Oliver) and 90 min of nursing and singing right after she was born. It was so so so special for me to have that this go around.

Sibling love

  • Eleanor is 100% Oliver's sister. They look so much alike it's almost humorous. Seems like we’ve got a cute little recipe going on ;).

  • Oliver is such a great helper and loves checking on "Baby" and giving goodnight prayers and pats. He also is having the time of his life with presents and grandparent play dates.

  • We'll get some "posed" pictures of the cutie duo, in the following weeks. (And will be sure to share the cuteness) but honestly, just enjoying the moments, and allowing space for rest and recovery, are the priority right now.

Here's a look into our first five days. What a treasure God has given us! ELEANOR LEE, WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU ARE FINALLY HERE!!! Life is better because of your presence.
