The Power of One

I saw this picture and was instantly struck. There are so many profound pauses that come from this image. This is not my image, and I’m not sure who to give credit to for finding it, but it’s been lodged in a folder on my phone and it constantly gives me a pause of ponder.
What do you see? What do you think of as you look at this?
I want you to carry this image with you over the next two weeks as you remember:
One is powerful. One might not seem like much, but it is.
One day a week to say no to hustle and yes to sabbath and prevent perpetual burnout.
One “no” to a purchase that could save money to give elsewhere.
One conversation, hard may it be, that could prevent more heartbreak.
One generation of parents that make healthy habits and boundaries to pass down.
I pray going into a holiday blast, and in preparation of a new year this image strikes a conversation with yourself. I pray the Holy Spirit uses this imagery to bring hope!
You are capable and courageous. The change you have been craving could be one choice away. (Or at least happens one choice at a time).
May His Grace Be Upon You,
Abby
